Nogizaka46 Idols Recreate Madoka Magica in Live-Action TV Ad

Members of the female idol group Nogizaka46 star in a live-action television commercial for Tuesday's Blu-ray/DVD release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion in Japan. The concept of the collaboration incorporates the anime's theme of "girls who keep on fighting in exchange for wishes." Nogizaka46's new single, "Kizuitara Kata Omoi," also went on sale on Tuesday.
Shigeaki Kubo directed videos for EXILE, Namie Amuro, Miliyah Kato, and other musical artists before helming this project. The ad puts members of Nogizaka46 in the world of the Madoka Magica films.
Five members — Sayuri Matsumura, Erika Ikuta, Mai Shiraishi, Nanase Nishino, and Rina Ikoma — appear in the ad. In particular, Matsumura, Ikuta, and Shiraishi dressed up as magical girls, performed wire action stunts, and acted in sword and gun fighting scenes.
The morning program Mezamashi TV aired a segment on the collaborative ad:
