10 Treated for Carbon Monoxide on Innocent Lilies Sequel Set

5 Dempagumi.inc idol among those briefly hospitalized for minor issues

10 people, including five members of the idol group Dempagumi.inc, were sent to the hospital after experiencing symptoms similar to carbon monoxide poisoning at the set of the second Innocent Lilies project on Sunday. The victims were treated for minor issues and released from the hospital that same day. The five idols — Risa Aizawa, Mirin Furukawa, Eimi Naruse, Nemi Yumemi, and Ayane Fujisaki — and five affected film production staffers ranged in age from 18 to 43.

The production began shooting in a cavern in a former mine near Utsunomiya around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, and people began feeling ill about 2:05 a.m. on Sunday. The set had three power generators for lights, which the Utsunomiya police cited as the source of the carbon monoxide.

A second Innocent Lilies project had not been revealed to the public until now. Kōichi Sakamoto directed the first film for TV Asahi and Toei. Below is the trailer for that first film:
