Bandai Namco Games began streaming the full-length trailer for its Tekken 7 arcade fighting game on Friday. The trailer premiered at the company's panel at Comic Con International in San Diego. The trailer is streaming with English and Japanese voice tracks.
Tekken series producer Katushiro Harada acknowledged that he had not planned on announcing the latest installment in the Tekken fighting game franchise at Evo 2014. However, he had "no choice but to announce" it when the game's logo appeared during a projection test earlier at Evo 2014, followed by a IGN news reel that was briefly posted on AOL Video.
Harada was quoted in an IGN news video that, "With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve the visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire."
