Shutaro Oku (Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena stage plays) is directing the play, while Jun'ichi Fujisaku wrote the script. Fujisaku also wrote the scripts for the 2011 television anime. The play will tell a new story linking the timeframes of the television series and film. The play will run at the Setagaya Public Theater from July 2 to 5.
The Blood-C television anime and film project is a collaboration between manga creation team CLAMP and Production I.G. The story revolves around Saya Kisaragi, a kind and clumsy girl. However, at night, Saya becomes a sword-wielding monster-hunter.
Funimation has licensed and released both the television series and film in North America.
