Dengeki Online began streaming a video on Wednesday previewing the new characters in Ecole and French Bread's Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition fighting game. In the video, the staff of Dengeki Online and French Bread play through matches and preview the new characters and their abilities.
Ecole and French Bread are developing the game, which debuted in Japanese arcades on July 28. The game will next arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on December 17. LiSA (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, The irregular at magic high school) is performing the game's theme song "ID."
The game adds new playable characters, such as The Devil is a Part-Timer!'s Emi Yūsa/Emilia, Heavy Object's Quenser, The irregular at magic high school's Tatsuya Shiba, and A Certain Scientific Railgun's Kuroko Shirai. The game also adds new support characters, such as Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu's Kana Iriya, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere's Tomo Asama, and Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho's Zero. The game also adds new systems, such as the new ability to pick two support characters and switch between them every round, and it re-balances existing characters.
The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita port of Sega's first Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax arcade fighting game shipped in Japan in November 2014. Sega released the game in North America and Europe earlier this month.
The first game features 14 playable characters and 23 support characters from ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko light novel titles. The game was launched to celebrate the imprint's 20th anniversary. Mami Kawada performed the original game's first theme song "Belief."
