Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Ghost Manga Ends in March

posted on by Kyle Hallmark

The April issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Gundam Ace magazine revealed on Friday that Yūichi Hasegawa's Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Ghost manga will end in the May issue of the magazine on March 26.

Hasegawa launched the manga in Gundam Ace in 2011. The 11th compiled volume of the manga shipped in Japan on December 24.

The first Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam ran from 1994 to 1997. Hasegawa then drew the sequels Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Skull Heart from 2002 to 2004 and Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Kōtetsu no Nananin (Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel Seven) from 2006 to 2007.

The story of Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Ghost is set in the year UC 0153 — two decades after the Crossbone Gundam series and in the story timeframe of the Mobile Suit V Gundam anime. The first Crossbone Gundam series followed the conflict between the burgeoning Jupiter Empire and a small resistance force in UC 0133. Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Skull Heart and Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Kōtetsu no Nananin show the aftermath of the conflict three years later.

The creator's other manga include MAPS, the Yuusha Raideen spinoff God Bird, and the Dancougar - Super Beast Machine God spinoff Chōjū Kishin Dancougar Burn.
