SNK Playmore, Atlus USA Partner for King of Fighters XIV's American Release

SNK Playmore and Atlus USA announced on Tuesday that they are partnering to release SNK Playmore's PlayStation 4 gameThe King of Fighters XIV in the Americas. The game is slated for release later this year.
Atlus USA also began streaming a trailer introducing Mui Mui and Kukri as playable characters.
The game will feature more than 50 playable fighters, including new characters to the franchise. Previously announced characters include Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Leona Heidern, Chang Koehan, Andy Bogard, Billy Kane, Kula, King, Angel, Ralf, K', Benimaru Nikaido, Robert Garcia, King of Dinosaurs, Maxima, Clark Still, and Terry Bogard.
Sony stated that while the game visuals will feature 3D graphics, the game keeps the classic 2D gameplay. The game will also feature new multiplayer online modes such as the Party Battle mode. This mode will feature up to six people in an online battle (three players per team).
SNK Playmore released an arcade version of the latest installment in The King of Fighters franchise, King of Fighters XIII, in Japan in July 2010. The company then released a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version in North America, Europe, and Japan in 2011. SNK Playmore USA also released the game for PC on Steam.
