Sega, Grounding developing VR experience showing character Ulala

Sega and game developer Grounding announced on Monday that it is developing a virtual reality experience titled Space Channel 5 VR: Ukiuki Viewing Show. It is based on Sega's Space Channel 5 games, and will allow players to view a report by game character Ulala.

A demo version will appear at the KDDI booth inside the HTC booth in this year's Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 15 to 18. The viewing show will begin at the end of a demonstration of KDDI's "Linked-door" VR software, which features virtual reality doors that can "teleport" users to different locations.

The demo will be playable using HTC's Vive headset. Grounding's official website lists Space Channel 5 VR: Ukiuki Viewing Show with an as-yet undecided release date, pricing, and compatible hardware.
