Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 Remix Game Announced for PS4

Updated compilation game slated for March

Square Enix announced on Thursday that it will rerelease its Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 Remix PlayStation 3 games as one game for PlayStation 4. The game, titled Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 Remix, will combine a total of six earlier Kingdom Hearts titles on one disc with gameplay at 60 frames per second. Square Enix will release the game on March 9 in Japan, March 28 in North America, and March 31 in Europe.

Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 Remix shipped in 2013 and included:

  • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (an updated version of the original Kingdom Hearts game)
  • Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories (a 3D remake of Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories)
  • HD remastered versions of the cinematics from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 Remix shipped in 2014 and included:

  • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (an updated version of Kingdom Hearts II)
  • Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix (an updated version of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep)
  • HD remastered versions of the cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

Square Enix will also release another game, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, on January 12 in Japan and on January 24 in North America and Europe. The game includes Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD (an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance), Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover (a brand-new HD theater video), and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage- (a brand-new game tied to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix).

Square Enix also streamed the opening movie for Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage- on Thursday.
