The official Japanese website for the live-action THE [email protected].KR television series began streaming a Japanese-subtitled trailer on Thursday.

The series began airing in South Korea's SBS Plus, SBS funE, and SBS MTV channels on Friday. The series will have 24 episodes and will air weekly.

The series is also streaming simultaneously on Amazon Prime Video for Amazon Prime members wherever the service is available worldwide. The series is available with subtitles in several languages, including English and Japanese, though not all subtitle options are available in all regions.

Amazon describes the series:

THE [email protected].KR, set in the world of Korean entertainment production, stars Korean idols of course, as well as other Japanese and Thai hopefuls. Like the original game, the drama follows a group of young women as they embark on a career in the entertainment industry, and depicts their sweat and tears, their hopes and dreams.

THE [email protected].KR (titled The [email protected].KR Dream in South Korea) follows the tone of previous works, and once again centers on a new group of idols' growth, performances, and mutual friendships. However, the story will be set in South Korea, and will follow the country's production and entertainment industry. The characters from the games will not appear in the show. Interactive Media Mix, Inc. is handling the planning and production of the series.
