My Hero Academia Ranks #1 on U.S. Monthly Bookscan August List

Legend of Zelda, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, One Piece, Jojo's, Dragon Ball Super also rank

The ninth volume of Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga ranked at #1 on on Nielsen BookScan's Top 20 list for August. It was one of four My Hero Academia volumes to rank in the top 20.

This month's list featured 12 manga volumes, including:

  • #2 — Akira Himekawa's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess volume 2
  • #3 — Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan volume 22
  • #4 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul volume 14
  • #6 — Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 1 (ranked #6 last month)
  • #11 — Eiichiro Oda's One Piece volume 83
  • #13 — Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 2 (ranked #16 last month)
  • #15 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul volume 1 (ranked at #9 last month)
  • #16 — Marie Kondo's The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up: A Magical Story (ranked at #5 last month)
  • #17 — Hirohiko Araki's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders volume 4
  • #18 — Akira Toriyama and Toyotarō's Dragon Ball Super volume 1
  • #20 — Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 8 (ranked #18 last month)

The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Amazon, Walmart.com, and some other venues.
