Momoiro Clover Z to Perform Theme Song, Guest Star in 26th Crayon Shin-chan Anime Film

Idols to play "Kuroguro Clover Z" group in story

The staff of the upcoming 26th Cryon Shin-chan film Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~ (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys Ramen Rebellion) announced on Friday that idol group Momoiro Clover Z are performing the film's theme song "Xiào Yīxiào!" (Smile!). The single CD will ship on April 11.

The four members of Momoiro Clover Z will also guest star in the film itself. They will play an idol group known as "Kuroguro Clover Z," which translates to "Pitch Black Clover Z" as opposed to "Pink Clover Z." They work for the fictional ramen company Black Panda Ramen, and will perform the image song "Black Panda Ramen Sanka" (Song of Praise).

The film will open in Japan on April 13.

The kung-fu action film will be set in a Chinatown named Aiyātown in Kusakabe, Saitama (the setting of the main series). Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki director Wataru Takahashi is returning to direct the film. Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno is writing the script.

Megumi Han will guest star as new character Ran Tama (pictured below).

The 25th film, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shūrai! Uchūjin Shiriri, opened in Japan on April 15 at #2 at the Japanese box office. The story centers on the alien Shiriri who hides in Shinnosuke's butt.
