Conception Plus to offer upgraded graphics, new features

Video game news website Famitsu revealed on Wednesday that Spike Chunsoft will release Conception Plus: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure!, a PlayStation 4 upgrade of its Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!) game, this winter. The port will include upgraded graphics and new features.

The story of the game revolves around Itsuki Yūge, a high school student who finds out on the day of his graduation ceremony that his cousin and childhood friend Mahiru is pregnant. Immediately afterward, Itsuki and Mahiru are taken to a magical world called Granvania, which is currently being invaded by monsters. The only people who can fight and exorcise the monsters are the "star children," and the star children can only be produced by the 12 "shrine maidens of the constellations." In order to defeat the monsters and return to his own world, Itsuki must father the star children with the maidens.

Spike Chunsoft released Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! on the PlayStation Portable in Japan in April 2012. A sequel game titled Conception II: Shichisei no Michibiki to Mazuru no Akumu launched in Japan for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. Atlus USA released the sequel game in N. America for both consoles under the title Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars in April 2014. Spike Chunsoft released the game on Steam in August 2016.

The original game is inspiring a television anime adaptation that will premiere in October.
