Animate Opens Manila Store This Year

Animate announced on Monday that it will open a new directly-owned Animate store at the third floor of the One Ayala mall in Makati, Metro Manila sometime this year.

Animate's most recently-opened store outside of Japan is its Hong Kong store, which opened in December 2025.

Animate has opened a number of pop-up stores in locations outside of Japan, as well as four permanent stores in China (five including the most recent Hong Kong store), three in Taiwan, two in Thailand, one in South Korea, and one in California, USA. A pop-up store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia reopened as a permanent store in October 2025.
