Atlus Online Launches Portal; Invites Fans to Help Shape It

IRVINE, Calif. – April 21, 2009 – It's alive! Online gaming and anime fans can now access and participate in the first phase of Atlus Online's portal, a daily destination for community-focused gaming and interactive entertainment. The portal will be dedicated to user-driven, high-quality content, with an emphasis on online games and anime, and is intended to be a hub for members to share their passions, meet new friends, and experience numerous forms of unique digital media. Staying true to Atlus Online's commitment, users are encouraged to contribute to the portal's growth and development.

Atlus Online is excited to roll out the first phase of the portal and to invite fans from all over the world to take part in its continued evolution,” says Tyler Kim, Head of the Online Division, Atlus U.S.A., Inc . “We designed this unique portal so that our community members could be the driving force behind what direction it takes. From user-generated artwork and opinion forums to mini-games and contests, all continually evolving, the Atlus Online portal is a truly dynamic, engaging, and organic site.”

Kicking off the first of several major updates, today's Atlus Online portal launch opens up access to a number of initial offerings and activities, with more content to be added regularly. In addition to creating game accounts and jumping into highly interactive forums and polls, members can build full profiles to give a personal context to their online contributions. One unique feature available to portal members is the Oekaki Wall, which provides a collaborative forum for creating artwork. One person may initiate a design, while another can add shading, and so on, for limitless iterations from a single member's work. A variety of flash-based mini-games and features have already been slated to appear, following the summer launch of Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent, a free-to-play, massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).

In the coming months, Atlus Online will unveil additional phases of its portal, continuing to advance the offerings available. Gamers! and anime fans looking for more information about Atlus Online's portal can visit http://www.atlusonline.com.
