Klik.tv and Animax Asia Launch Anime Me! Contest

The ANIME ME! Contest invites people to imagine themselves as a character in an Anime film.

Winning entries will be made into Anime short film.

SINGAPORE – April 7, 2010 –Klik.TV is pleased to announce ANIME ME!, the first-ever creative Anime competition for the general public that invites people to imagine themselves as a character in their own Anime film. The best entries will have their ideas brought to life in 3 Anime Short Films to be produced by Klik.TV, which will be seen by millions of their peers across Asia on the region's first and leading anime and youth entertainment pay-TV channel, Animax. The Animax / Klik.TV ANIME ME! contest is proudly organised by Klik.TV with Animax Asia as the title sponsor and regional broadcast partner.

ANIME ME! is looking for ideas from people that will be inspiring enough to produce into an Anime short film. All applicants have to do is go to the ANIME ME! contest website (http://animeme.klik.tv) and submit a short creative write-up on why and how their life should be made into an Anime show.

With today's Anime spanning every subject, the only limit is one's imagination. Applicants can choose to portray themselves as regular people in real life or even create a fantastic alter-ego of themselves. E.g. if they want to become a superhero; an alien; or an animal – anything goes.

Stories do not have to be fully developed. The judges will select the best original ideas and craft these into scripts for films.

“This contest offers a tremendous opportunity for anyone who enjoys writing, even if they aren't anime fans. We welcome people to go online and share their ideas with us. The aim is to have fun and be creative.” says Galen Yeo, Creative Director of Klik.TV. “This is also a rare opportunity for someone to see themselves or their characters produced into a living breathing anime film.”
