Tainted Reality presents THE SOUND BEE HD's US Return At Katsucon 19

October 17, 2012 - Visual Kei Industrial rockers THE SOUND BEE HD are set to return to American at Katsucon 19. The band will be appearing in support of their new E.P., Sou, released through Starwave Records. Their appearance will consist of 1 full concert, 1 special, stripped down performance at Katsucon's "Katsucon Idol" event, merchandise sales, autograph sessions, a Fan Q&A panel, and possible other surprises! Katsucon 19 will take place on February 15-17 at the Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor, MD.

About THE SOUND BEE HD:
THE SOUND BEE HD was formed in 2000 by Daisuke, the lead vocalist of Media Youth (the band behind Lupin III: Dead or Alive's ending theme song "Damage no Amai Wana"). They released their first E.P. Dol-Bee6 via famous Japanese record label, Avex, but later decided to become an independent band. In 2007, the band saw a major shake-up in the line-up with Daisuke becoming the only founding member to remain in the band. He later recruited bassist You, and guitarist Tak from the band Calmando Qual, and set out for a fresh start for the band. In 2010 they signed with independent visual kei label Starwave Records and released their third full album, Hachi, accompanied by vast changes in their musical style and visual image achieved through the concept of a fusion of heavy rock and industrial elements with a Japanese taste. Since then they have released 4 E.P.'s, including their most recent release, Sou.

About Katsucon:
Katsucon began in Virginia Beach in 1995, where it enjoyed continuing growth for its first three years until it moved operations to the DC/Baltimore area in 1998. From here it grew in leaps and bounds, with the usual classic guests and programming, while focusing on the fandom aspect of anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture. In 2006, it broke 5000 attendees, and in 2010 it outgrew almost every available hotel, but found a new home at the Gaylord National Resort in the National Harbor. By 2012, it nearly doubled its attendees and broke an attendance of over 10,000 for the first time.

Katsucon's focus remains on the fans by providing exciting guests, top cosplay events, movie premieres and quality programming. The convention is always looking for new ideas and trends to share with the attendees. Katsucon was one of the first to bring the Maid Cafe to conventions, offer educational tracks, and works with the Japanese Embassy and Sakura Matsuri in Washington DC. It is 100% non profit 501.3c corporation, and the entire staff comprises of unpaid and highly talented volunteers.
