Alien Nine (special) Good Interesting and original although incomplete. Good animation, it's just too bad the quality of CPM's encoding is messed up.

Avenger (TV) Weak Easily BeeTrain's worst, and quite horrible to boot. Designs are just blargh but the biggest problem is that NOTHING HAPPENS, I don't even remember anything from it. Noir was slow but had some serious style, characters and mystery, this almost made me ashamed of being a BeeTrain fan.

Battle Royale (live-action movie) Masterpiece It's probably debatable whether this actually is that good, but for me everything just clicked. I absolutely fell in love with all of it: the drama, the action, the wonderful score, the unbelievable amount of memorable scenes, and of course Kitano is great as well.

Slam Dunk (TV) Very good Awesome series. I very rarely laught out loud when I watch stuff, but Slam Dunk managed to make me do that several times under the course of the first 10 episodes I saw. And if I wasn't laughing then I was constantly smiling, Sakuragi is just too hilarious and too likeable, it also helps that the animation is great... but then of course TOEI had to go and SPOIL IT! #¤&/)(2¤ bastards can't even subtitle a DVD in a normal way.

Touch (TV) Excellent Don't let the fact that it's 20 years old deter you from watching this, it's easily one of the most wonderful drama series of all time. The drama genre is a tricky one as uninspired shows will often fall into the "boring" category, but Touch is superbly executed: it's not cheesy, it's not clicheed, it's not predictable, it's original and the characters have some real depth, as their feelings and actions seem very genuine and not of the frequently occurring "tacked on" variety. Highly recommended.
