I try to add enlightening commentary, but let's face it:
I'm far from perfect.

Seen/Read All (public list) Rating
Colorful (movie) Excellent
Corpse Party Missing Footage (OAV) Excellent
Pretty gruesome.
Corpse Party: Tortured Souls (OAV) Masterpiece

  • Interesting how around the 7:15 mark everyone just stands there.....

  • I was going to rate it at 10/11 (Excellent) because of both the OP & ED, but then I saw the episode #4 epilogue.
I felt compelled to bump it up a notch......

For all of the ugliness that goes on, Corpse Party still shows the limitations of what animation can do with a horror format. The additional layer of unreality just makes it too hard for it to generate much actual scare factor. Weak story development and characterization also hamper the production; to see this kind of content done much, much better in that regard, check out “The Bloodstained Labyrinth” arc of Ghost Hunt. Still, the series absolutely nails its main selling point – its graphic content and the visuals supporting it – and that is, indeed, all that really matters.

Corpse Princess: Aka (TV) Very good (dub), Excellent (sub)
    Pros:
  1. Makina Hoshimura has great legs (and most of the girls are in mini-skirts, too! :p ).
  2. Meaningful suffering/death.
  3. Nice OST!
Con: Graphics are meh.
Corpse Princess: Kuro (TV) Very good
The ending is just very odd..... (Was the manga not completed at the time?)
Cowboy Bebop (TV) Excellent

  4. The death count is real and consequential. (11/11)
Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor (TV) Masterpiece (dub & sub)

    • 16:30| How does Suou undo her bindings while running away? [CON]

    Ranking ep.#8 at 11/11.
    • 12:25| Internal monologue

      Rating at 11/11.
    • More internal dialogue

  8. All of the plot threads are seemingly wrapped up. (11/11)
Dead Leaves (OAV) Good
Death Billiards (movie) Excellent
Death Note (TV) Decent
