I'm sorry for not replying sooner, but I haven't been having any trouble since I made that post, so it slipped my mind.
As for weather it happens in any other browser, I'll check it out if it happens again. I do know that I still have to delete all my ANN cookies before I can even login on Firefox. That's probably the most annoying thing since this is the only site where I have to do that and I don't know why. That's also why getting logged out bothered me so much, because the process of hitting back to save my post, opening a new tab, going to ANN, deleting my cookies, and then finally logging back in got extremely annoying. As for that link, it says my Remember Me is On. Even, though it's not, at least not for Opera, but it is for Firefox. EDIT: OK, something weird is happening. I went to logout manually to double check if I actually do have Remember Me on, but it won't let me. When I click "Logout" the button shrinks and makes this face: T_T And then nothing happens. I click it again and nothing. I refresh the page and I'm still logged in and that face has been replaced with the Logout Button again. |

That really sounds like a cookie problem. Check your cookies through your browser's preferences. For Firefox:
Edit > Preferences > Privacy > Show Cookies then search for "animenewsnetwork" and sort by cookie name. Ignore all the __utma and __utmz cookies, those are from Google ads. But if you have, say, the cookie phpbb2mysql_data for both animenewsnetwork.com and www.animenewsnetwork.com, now that could be annoying. And I have no idea how it could happen. |

I haven't been having my problem so it took a while to test, but it's happening again and tried it in Firefox. The results: I have the same problem in Firefox.
I don't if you're referring to why I always have to delete my cookies or my inability to logout manually, but I'll mention that I don't have a www.animenewsnetwork.com either Firefox nor Opera, just animenewsnetwork.com and fast.animenewsnetwork.com |

I just noticed I was having this issue as well, but it only seems to have started affecting me since I subscribed to OreImo about 3 weeks ago. Now, anytime I don't actively access ann.com for an hour or so, when I come back to it, I've been logged out. Nothing on my computer changed between the time it wasn't doing this and when it was, only my status as a video subscriber on this website.
I'm running windows 7 with Opera 10.63. Though, I have been using the standard login feature at the top of the page, which doesn't have a "Remember Me" checkbox next to it. Maybe that's my problem? Edit: It seems that was my problem. I failed a login attempt so I could get to the screen with the "Remember Me" option, and here I am, 24 hours later, still logged in. Maybe we could get that checkbox added by the main page login boxes? |

You can also log in through the forum tab, which will have the Remember Me option |

I've done some testing and came to the conclusion that there is a specific cookie from a website that causes the problem I've been having. It started happening again the other day and I noticed that when I just delete my ANN cookies (from the normal and fast server), it doesn't solve the problem because I'm logged out again by the next post. However, when I delete all of my cookies, I don't get logged out when I make another post. So I ask, is there a known problem with cookies from other sites, and would there be any way to fix that from either my or your end?

Lately, I keep finding I'm logged out on the main page, but if I click into the forums then back it logs me in. A few times though I've been stuck in a situation where the forums are the only part of the site I can log into - logging in using the box on the front page does nothing and while I am logged in on the forums, I'm logged out on the rest of the site and trying to access the fast or admin servers results in a redirect loop. From experience clearing cookies will resolve it, for now, but since it has happened a few times recently I thought I would log the problem first.
from animenewsnetwork.com/meta/clear-cookies.php
From animenewsnetwork.com/meta/clear-cookies.php
Hitting the "clear cookies" button just gets me an error 500 so I have to clear the cookies manually. I'm currently using the latest Chrome developer build, 10.0.628.0 --edit-- This time, logging out (through the forums) then logging back in seems to have fixed it. |

Yeah, I had this yesterday as well. I'm using Internet Explorer 8. It's not happening now, though, so go figure.

I've been running circles around this issue for 3 hours and it feels like I'm shooting in the dark. I've made some changes which may improve the situation. Or they may worsen it. But either way if the problems persist I'll need to have someone contact me on AIM so I can debug in real time.

I'm having a similar issue as well. I leave the forums page up when I put my computer to sleep when I go to bed or leave for work. And when I wake up or come back, I hit the logo to go to the front page, but I always have to log back in. Always. However, I played around with it this morning and just refreshed the forums page, I didn't have to log in, and I then hit the logo and again didn't have to log in. So, apparently I only have to log in when the first thing I do is hit the logo after being away for a while.
