A friend of mine sent me this link and I'm sure a lot of you will recognize what's being parodied here, but does anyone know if the actual characters are from something else?

D'oh! The page won't load, citing a possible cause of my having cookies blocked. (Which doesn't make sense, because I even enabled all cookies to try to view it....) Maybe you have a mirror of it?

I've seen those cats before. I think they're just the trademark and style of the flash animator.

Actually, it's different versions of mascots and ascii art characters from Japan's huge all-purpose BBS 2ch. They're commonly used in flash animations and elsewhere.

This was originally Azumanga Daioh, the song is the same though. I think this was very weird, but also very funny.
