Simple question here, when are they going to release the next volume? It's been a year now and I would greatly appreciate being able to see the rest of the series. Yet when I search around, there's nothing, does anyone have a clue here?

From ANN's Katsucon Bandai Panel Report:

Quote:
Originally, Bandai was planning on releasing the series on two DVDs, but because of the delay in the production schedule, they will be changing the release format to three volumes. The second Yukikaze DVD will come out soon with episodes 3 and 4. The third volume will contain the last OVA, and also Mave-chan, a short spin-off of the series.

So I guess it'll be coming out soon. When the first volume of Yukikaze came out here, episode 3 wasn't even finished yet, I believe.

That's pretty lame, I was holding off on getting this one, but I don't know if I will now. Two episodes per DVD is a complete rip-off, not to mention a colossial waste of space considering the average per DVD elsewhere and the total amount of stuff the medium can actually hold. Evil or Very Mad

This is an OVA, man. The eps run somewhere between 40 to 45 minutes a piece. You're getting an average of FOUR 20-minute (stnd anime series episode length) eps per DVD. There's no rip-off here. Not really. And having seen the first 2 eps, I'm quite anxious to see eps 3, 4, and 5.

Okay, so how is this Mave-chan spinoff in any way related to Yukikaze? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy different anime all the time, but the encyclopedias overview didn't involve yukikaze in the slightest.
