That's interesting. A bit of an exaggeration, but quite true nonetheless. I don't know if Shaman King is a 4Kids liscence, but they changed Manta's name to Morty, out of all things. (My apologies to anyone named Morty.) And his voice is just so annoying.

 I don't think I'll ever fully understand the sheer maliciousness of anime fandom's hatred towards 4kids. C'mon people. None of the stuff they've ever picked up fell under the category of masterpiece in the first place.

So the only shows that deserve decent treatment are "masterpieces"? I don't think so. There is no excuse for taking these shows and perverting them beyond reason. There just isn't. |

Whether or not they're masterpieces isn't the problem. No anime deserves to be butchered the way 4kids has done with One Piece and Shaman King so that they're now juvenile action shows that appeal to 6 year old kids. One Piece was not made for 6 year olds but 4kids makes it so it does. That's why I hate 4kids and I'm sure other people have their own reasons. |

One Piece is a good show. Some of the elitist snob anime fans don't watch it, probably because it doesn't have quite enough blood or child rape to be considered worthy of their "refined tastes" or something, but it's a good show, and what 4Kids did to it was unnecessary and lame. That was a great (and fully accurate) webcomic.
