Do you think spoiler[the two of them die at the end? It seems so sad that after everything they get killed by that punk and what is the cracked glass on the picture supposed to mean?]

It doesn't seem that way. spoiler[Rowe gets knifed from behind, but I think at least Jack survives as I don't think that loser would be able to win a draw against Jack. Also, it appears that at the very end Rowe and Jack are all right since they're headed out on another mission.]

As for the glass spoiler[if you look at the point where the glass initially shattered, right where all three of them are holding something up, then you'll see that she is holding her crown and Rowe and Jack are holding her 15 year clock above the crown. The clock had a hole in it from the bullet, symbolizing the crack in the glass. The glass being broken the way it is, IMHO, speaks of the changes that have been made between the three main protagonists throughout the series.]

These are just my opinions, and the ending is left open for interpretation. Let me know what you think as you're the first person I know who has said anything about Licensed by Royalty on this forum.

I don't know what to thing actually. But I do know that the ending shocked me. I was so surprised and shocked by it. It spolied the whole thing for me.

spoiler[How could Rowe let his guard down like that?]

For me, the series was over by the end of the 7th episode where spoiler[Camille bows down before Noelle and proclaims her princess. I mean, didn't she tell Noelle in episode 3 to go back to her island? The way Camille said it in that episode it was like she was saying, "don't come back." I kind of felt that the ending wasn't right either. Rowe should have been smarter than that, but oh well.]

I did like the idea of Noelle's timepiece. That was pretty interesting what it was actually for.

In any event, I thought that this show was reaching by the end of the 5th episode and after the 7th, I was ready for it to end. And usually I never want an anime series to end. Usually I prolong watching the final episodes for a week or two. Not this particular series, however.

This series really was the poor man's Cowboy Bebop. It just didn't make any sense. There was actually a part in the previews where Rowe and Jack take out a tanker truck in a very cool way, but that wasn't in the series. I think the series was cancelled after 13 eps, and they had to leave some stuff out. It really wasn't a very good series. Even the music was overused. In Bebop they always had a different song to play, but not in L/R.

I guess the budget just ran out I suppose. The animation wasn't all that great. And the ending I'm sorry if I'm repeating this but it just cheeses me off.

Well: spoiler[I think Rowe didn't let his gaurd down; he is far too good for tat. If you pay attention when the knife is stabbed into his back, there is no blood and a cracking sound. I think the guy stabbed through the picture as a distraction for Hofner (spelling) to catch him. I think everyone is alive after watching all the way through the credits.]

Besides, this series rocks just from the music. GO 80s MUSIC!!

Hey, you're probably right. I never thought of that. I don't have the DVDs anymore because it was a bootleg and I destroyed it. I can't remember if I heard a spoiler[crack in glass when the knife went into Rowe's jacket], but it's probably right. That's why the glass spoiler[had a crack in it at the end.]

Makes perfect sense. Thanks!
