:: According to GATV, the English premiere of the comedy anime Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo will be at 10:30pm on October 1, in the Toonami block. ::

This is incorrect. The premiere date will be at 10:30 PM on September 30th in the Fridays block. Encores will be on Toonami at the same time.

I got the information from here. Says Oct. 1. Show me where your information comes from and I'll change it, depending.

Says so on Toonzone's schedule page (http://www.toonzone.net).

*marks October 1st and November 5th down*

*hopes BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo comes through intact and gets an uncut release*

Ok, sir.

Scroll down to 9/30. And for the sake of justifying my Toonami encore comment:

Since Fridays hasn't run anime ever, GATV probably didn't bother to look at the block for premieres.

Yeah, that has as much of a chance as a live-action adaptation...

Actually it's a Phuuz Entertainment dub (formerly Fuse Entertainment).

I'm a bit more iffy on the dub than Naruto's, but a 10:30 airing...I wonder if it's just because there's nowhere else to put it? Or maybe most parents wouldn't catch their kids watching something about nose hair jutsu. I'm really excited to see such a bizzare anime.
As for Bo-bo-bo as a live action...oh I dunno about how to do the nose hairs without making it look like some cheap wire. This is definitely not the type of thing I like to speculate about.

But is there really anything they could edit in the show? From what I can tell, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is definately off-the-wall and nonsensical (especially by American standards), but not highly objectionable. Of course Zatch Bell, Cardcaptors, and every 4Kids anime have had edits for even the mildest of objectionable content but those shows were dubbed with a big, mainstream, extremely American childrens' audience in mind, whereas Bo^7 (my abreviation for it) has absolutely no chance of big success in any way unless it was released with everything intact because it isn't really markettable or anything and the only gimmick it has that could bring in viewers is the immense wierdness so I don't think that it would get the Pokemon treatment. Add to the fact it's on at 10.5 (in the past, the only shows on Toonami that weren't doubled-up in that slot were Gundam SEED and Rouroni Kenshin, both of which had reasonable TV treatment and excellent DVD releases), and I don't see why it would cause that much of a problem with editting and such.
