Is Samurai 7 any good? I've been what you would call "researching" on the series and found it rather intriguing, but is it worth buying the DVD? I also have been trying to make sense of the little info on Desert Punk; is that any good? Thanks.

Well if you've been doing your "research" then why not try a professional review site like AnimeoDvd or check out ANN's own Shelf Life column. They might have better taste than the usually "OMG this seriez Roxor my sock" respondse by fanboy.
If you're just looking for fan review though, try site like animenfo and anime-source as they have databased of opinon and review on a particular series and they will probably be more helpful. |

Um, there was a formal review of the first volume of Desert Punk done for ANN recently; it's still on the front page, in fact. You could check that out if you haven't already.

Would you buy a copy of the original Akira Kurosawa Seven Samurai? This remake is one I would say to buy if you like to collect.
