anyone seen the commercial for T-Mobile that looks like an anime. I don't know if its a real anime director or if its just "in the style of"(goes back yo the "what is anime" question)

I don't know where you can see the real commercial online but here is the site.

http://www.johnnychase.com

the site looks like flash animation but the commercial looked a lot better.

Who knows, maybe the Johnny Chase character will take off and become its own show while the T-mobile stays just a product. It's not inconceiveable. (^_*)

It ran on Adult Swim last night, sometime during action. My instinct is to say after Blue Gender, but I'm not sure.

I'm sure it played during FLCL as well, and I also saw it earlier in the night on The OC on Fox.

I saw it playing all during Adult Swim. than I switched the channel(I think to comedy central) and it was on that too. the website said it premiered on MTV on August 5th.

WOW, the animation is really good, i guess they are aiming this product at Anime fans, or else they would have gone w/ live action. I really like the commercial, can't wait for the rest. I think that I.G. could pursue this as a real anime, they would just need some story backround, and it would be like Bebop meets Bond. also, Johnnys outfit is almost exactly like Kagami Kyoji's from GetBackers. I wonder who directed the commercial. the sidekick is actually pretty cool, saw one at the cell-phone store today, pretty nice!

Lets just hope that they use him sparingly, other wise I'll get sick every time I see him (honstly, how many of us want to see ANOTHER commerical for Jared).

I doubt it, we aren't exactly a "must have" demographic. I think they're just going with the trend in hopes that it will snag a majority of the teens-20's age range. Atleast with this they're going with their own theme, and not the tired stereotypical black basketball playing guys with beepers like most of the sneaker commercials seem to go with lately.
