It has been over one year since I have heard the English speaking voice actress Amanda Winn Lee voicing any characters in animes. I wonder what happened to her? Did she retire or something? An answer will help.

There was a new story here on ANN a few months ago about her son suffering from leukemia, so I'm sure that's being a big distraction. I know she's done some voice work for video games lately, but the most recent anime performance that I can confirm for her are a few guest shots on GITS: SAC (as Kurutan).

I'm sorry to hear that.  I know someone who passed away from leukemia not too long ago, so I'll hope extra hard that Amanda's son pulls through.

If you're suffering from Amanda Winn Lee withdrawal, I highly recommend you scout out her work as Argilla in last year's highly touted Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga RPG series for PS2. It's great stuff!
