The anime's official website also posted a voice sample of Rei by Tsubasa Yonaga

I believe that Rei's voice actor is Daisuke Hirakawa.

Just for reference purposes, I went and made some research on the pledge that all the characters have "girly" names that has been brought up on previous threads. I did a quick search on MAL and these are the numbers I got

Haruka
Girls (110) Boys (26)

So Haruka is dominated by girls, and by an ample margin, but there are still a decent amount of boys

Makoto
Girls (38) Boys (89)

But on the other hand, Makoto is vastly dominated by boys, with a decent amount of girls

Nagisa
Girls (50) Boys (8)

So Nagisa is definitely mostly girls, with only a handful of boys

Rei
Girls (35) Boys (32)

But Rei seems to be a pretty androginous name, since both have around the same amount of representatives.

Rin
Girls (60) Boys (17)

This one too is vastly dominated by girls, but with a strong boy presence

Conclusion: If you're going to hate on a show for its mere existance, admit it out front and don't use stupid excuses like "they are girly names". They are average Japanese names, if you can't deal with the fact that Japanese names are not 100% gender-specific I don't know what you've been doing all this time.

All of the boys so far seem pretty endearing. It seems like their personalities will mesh well too, which is good.

(in before complaints that we've seen more track than swimming. Very Happy )

For the record, I'm not hating on it, but I pretty much can't see those names and not think of Sailor Uranus, Sailor Jupiter/Cure Sword, Cure Black, Sailor Mars and Cure Rouge

Hey, at least the names means the possibility of gender-swapped fanart is even higher than it would be normally! (That and/or the guys in magical girl outfits...)

It's not a fanservice fest without someone to cover the glasses fetishists. Razz Not that it wasn't already evident with that porny music they play over every 'Free' promo. Wink

If you're seeing the possibility of gender-swapped fanart as the primary positive, then perhaps the show isn't for you. Rolling Eyes

I don't think musouka meant that in a negative way....

There's Ranma 1/2, Futaba-Kun Change, Kampfer, My Boyfriend Is A Vampire, etc.

There's a world out there for gender-bending fans. Smile

He is handsome, intelligent young man who often gets manipulated by the swim team's rival Rin for some reason.

Is this based on the Japanese character's intro? If it is then it's not the rival Rin but Nagisa.
