I just saw the naruto movie yesterday, and it wasn't that good. It couldn't be compared to the series. How is the second movie of naruto?

Well most movies based on popular animes lack severely in storytelling since they basically sell from the name alone... naruto movie was a bore to me, the second one had Gaara and Shikamaru but I really can't imagine it being that good.

There's 2 out, and the third one is going to release sometime on DVD. I found that both the Naruto movies suck, because they were just prolonged episodes. Nothing to do with the plot of the TV series, the action is plain, nothing special happens, just like a regular filler episode. Although the second one is a little bit better since it features the three ninjas from the Sand village, however it still feels empty at the end.

The 2nd one is better in that it is longer and features more characters. On the other hand, I found it kinda lame because it was like they combined two action animes into one movie. The goons in the 2nd movie have powers that don't fit the Naruto world at all it just felt kinda stupid to me. I'd preferred they were ninjas like in the 1st movie.

First of all, we are far away from the DVD release of the third Naruto movie, because it just came out in theatres in Japan 3 weeks ago. We have to wait til' probably January for it to come out.
Now, for my take on it. The second one was much better, because of the sufficient amount of action, and I believe the animation was better. Plus, who couldn't love Naruto "dual-wielding" Rasengans?! I also thought that the other characters were much more involved in the plot of the second one. The first movie was basically just about Naruto and the Ice Princess, while the second one involved Temujin, Gaara, Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru.
