Do something more practical with your lives besides fanfiction, and write to your representatives about (url shortened -c), because blaming Canada is getting old.

Gatsu,

I for one not only am of legal age, my "real life" profesion is raising money for some of the following groups, Amnesty International, HRC, Sierra Club, People for the American Way and gasp, the Democrats. I could probably get you in touch with at two candidates for President if I tried (not counting Kenneth Yamamoka).
I also, as a rule, Check my politics at the door when I come to a site like this unless it has to do with a discussion of say, Earth Girl Arjuna .
I understand, doing work like this is a thankless task. I also sympathise with your implication that Otaku are sometimes self absorbed.
But I do believe there are places to put aside differences (In fact one of my "Anime Friends" is a right wing Fundamentalist Christian), in fact, it is our Giri.

All the Best,

Nani?

Well I figure that I'm actually doing a service. If Republicans and sell-out Democrats have their way, not only can they control who gets married, but eventually they'll target store owners for selling titles like Fake the way they arrested a guy who sold hentai legally.

Nani? is right, lets leave politics at the door, and I expect this topic to die shortly.

yes, we currently do not support general political discussions on this site. while we may consider adding a "general" general forum, we currently have no plans to do so.

it has no relevance to anime, anime news or anime news network, and thus has been locked.
