I've only watched one episode of Galaxy Angel and noticed that they're very short episodes. Are they really that short, or am I watching something totally different?

The encyclopedia entry for Galaxy Angel shows that, yes, the episodes are rather short (about 12 minutes):

For all four seasons of the original (not including Galaxy Ange-lune), all episodes are about half as long as the regular anime episodes you're used to watching. For Galaxy Angel Z (second season) and on, they get rid of showing the OP/ED for every episode and do it every other episode (because they aired two episodes at a time at that point).

Also, just noticed... For Galaxy Angel X (forth season), the encyclopedia has the episodes listed as "28 minutes" long. This is incorrect, they're the same length as every other season before it. Will go report an error on that now...

They are short but a lot of fun. Much better than having a bunch of fluff taking up half the episode.

Oh, good. I noticed this over a year ago but I've never actually seen any of GAX, so I couldn't be sure it was a mistake. I'd wondered what would happen if/when Bandai got to that point in the releases. If X is the same length as the earlier seasons it makes much more sense.

Over a year... Gee, have I been inattentive... The episode length of Galaxy Ange-lune (which I just added), is different though. They're 24 minutes per episode.

I'm still waiting for an R1 DVD release of AA and X. It's been a little over a year since we got Galaxy Angel A, and I'm losing hope.

Same here... I'm starting to wonder if Bandai just gave up on the series, since I haven't heard anything about them licensing it yet.
