I love this show, personally, because as both an artist and a cosplayer, I find it neat watching what people come up with, as well as how they make it.
Then I saw the preview after last night's episode, for this one. The preview shows some of the makeups, which all have giant eyes that take up most of the face, and the worst stereotypes of anime characters. I am fully expecting and prepared to be disgusted by the episode, especially since TV Guide's description of the episode says that there are "..two extreme challenges inspired by the ancient culture of Japan". Since when is anime part of the "ancient culture" of Japan? |

I'm going to hope that someone it isn't a huge trainwreck if you actually know a thing about anime. I haven't watched much of this season of Face Off but in previous ones, there's usually been a few contestants who were fans of anime, who therefore should know what the heck they are doing.
Oh well, I guess we'll see when the episode airs. |
