I wish they had chosen Naoya Uchida (Soichiro) to play his role from the anime, since he often plays on a stage. Aya Hirano (Misa) and Mamoru Miyano (Light) has some stage experience as well.
Both Hirano and Uchida played in Les Miserables (in different years, though). Takeshi Kaga is great as well, though. |

Hm, I wonder which K-pop idol will take on the role. I always thought Jaejoong of JYJ would fit L really well despite Jaejoong has never done any musical:

I don't know who could play Light Yagami, but for Misa I think Eunji of Apink and maybe Sunny of Girls Generation (they both have done musical) can fit Misa: Eunji of Apink:
