Nice clip, I wonder if they wanted to do something like this to show the real life side of anime production after P.A. Works also being involved in Shirobako?

Good to see Lia and Marina involved as in Angel Beats.

The anime aired so far so has been tame in terms of emotional scenes, but I get a feeling that Maeda Jun is building up relaxed atmosphere very carefully so that the emotional scenes will hit like a truck when they do appear.

Original anime project means there was no existing material to work off of except for the creator?

That was really fun. Most we knew already since the show aired, but it was fun seeing some of the behind the scenes and hearing Maeda speak.

I doubt that. Behind-the-scene has gotten more elaborate than usual production staff and actors asking fan for support.
