I've heard such good things about this, but in English it looks like the only options are pay exorbitant used prices or piracy/stealin' (none of the libraries in our system have circulating copies). Maybe the new volume will spark a new license over here eventually...

Even if you paid exorbitant used prices, only the first ten volumes were issued by Toypress in English. Those were broken into 26 pamphlets. They did retain the page size of the original Newtype publication though.

wasn't the entire FSS universe retconned to be part of Gothicmade's universe?

wasn't Gothicmade pretty poorly received and still doesn't have a home release?

Nagano pls

I'll be more impressed if the series makes it back into English, even if I do have to start hauling my arse up to LA again to buy it.

@Ladymage Samiko

The first time it was offered in English it was technically available nationwide in comic shops. However in most cases you would have had to special order it when it was solicited in Diamond Previews. That's how I got my copies.

I do wish they would start selling it again. I'd even double dip to support the series if it meant getting the missing volumes.

Amen.

I think I remember looking into mail-ordering back in the day, but it ended up being easier just to save my shekels until I could get to a Kino and bring myself up to date. Besides, that meant I could check out all the new Japanese manga & visit all the other shops nearby at the same time. Wink

Your solution wasn't available to me. I live in the wrong part of the country. What I did wasn't mail order. I simply pre-ordered it at my local comic shop. Since that is how I have to buy all my manga, it wasn't a problem. I just added it to my usual monthly order.
