The insert songs are nice, but I'm on board with quite a few other people who have a real dislike for how they've been used so far. Spending a portion of each episode like that has slowed the already wonderfully glacial pacing more than it needed to; and is definitely starting to alienate people.
However, the series is still doing quite well overall and is adapting the source material at a decent pace. Much like Rokka of the Six Braves, it'll be interesting to see how they utilize the pacing and how many volumes of the source material they'll cover (there's currently seven released as of Christmas Day 2015).
