...Somehow I doubt this will make kids want to switch the channel from Cartoon Network to CW. But maybe I'll be surprised.

I've found more interesting things to watch on the cable channels than the Networks for years now, anyway. (I know, I know, I'm 19, but I love cartoons. ^^; )

Sounds like a pencil pusher at CW thought, "Hey, 4Kids gave us two of our biggest kids shows, let's go with them!" Yet, somehow they didn't seem to realize that 4Kids lost one of those shows and the other isn't exactly a major phenomenon anymore, and at the same time didn't notice how 4Kids stock is falling steadily and they haven't had a hit in years. Not only that, now they're going to be competing against Fox using the same company, talk about a win-win for 4Kids. By the sounds of it just about any show that isn't done by WB is going to be getting the axe while shows like Legion of Superheroes and The Batman should be safe. Somehow I expect to see a lot of filler shows (old FoxBox shows) to show up as "new" on CW.

Ok,now let me get this straight, judging by that information on that site,so in other words does this mean that Kids WB is gonna try to have a partnership with 4Kids TV simaliar to when ADV was gonna try to partnership with Geneon but turned out to be a big fall down?

in other words, does this mean we're gonna be seeing shows like Legion of superheroes and Tom and Jerry tales on 4Kids TV?

good greif,we've been having a lot of partnerships lately.

first Tech TV merged with G4, than Square Soft merged with Enix, and now this??? whats this world coming too?

No, this is something different. This would be like if ADV completely handled all aspects of production (licensing, dubbing/subbing, distributing, etc) on a title and Geneon still left their logo on it. You see, WB and Fox don't handle their own content during the Saturday morning blocks, they outsource it to other companies. Fox uses 4Kids while WB uses (or did use) Cookie Jar to produce their Saturday morning shows. Now Cookie Jar is out of the picture completely and 4Kids will be producing both blocks. We probably wont see shows like The Batman or other WB owned properties on 4Kids TV, but we probably will see old 4Kids shows on the new WB block. Shows produced by Cookie Jar will no longer be shown on WB unless 4Kids licenses the broadcast rights for them which is always possible.

I do not even know why the networks still show cartoons on Saturday morning. For example, what is the point of a kid getting up early in the morning on Saturday. When they can stay alseep and wait untill the Toonami block comes on. Which is ten times better than what the networks shows.

I'm feeling so nostalgic. I remember getting up early to watch Pokemon and Histeria and all that stuff...ah, good times. I haven't watched the block in years, so I can't say I'm really that upset about it, but I feel like another part of my childhood is good. In it's "golden days", KidsWB had really great programming like Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. But those days are over, and now seeing that 4kids is going to provide the shows now, I don't think they're ever coming back.

Tell me about it. It seems as if the good 'ol days of Saturday Morning Cartoons have officially gone the way of the dodo. Sad Or at least not being nearly as good to the new generation as it was with us anyways. I mean, nowadays it seems like if you want shows that are as good as the ones we used to get back in the day, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network are the places to go at basically any time of day, either that or you have to stay up late and watch them. And you have to have at the very least a basic cable package to see them. Not like the good 'ol days when we used to be able to get up on Saturday morning knowing there's no school today and sit down and watch some good 'ol cartoons and you got that same quality of show, and it was just right there on your basic TV stations as well.

Well, at least our generation's kids get those quality of shows anyways, it's just through different means is all, all the meanwhile if Saturday mornings keep this up, it may very well see it's inevitable end. Sad

I hope and pray that Ultimate Muscle comes back. That show was ridiculously funny. "The Canuckler" is my favourite superhero Anime hyper
