1. Cartoon Network getting a direct license of a show.(cant remember the reason why though)

2. Bandai buy-out by Nintendo. Anime cry

3.FUNi acquiring Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki 3. They'll probably make the series an 8 disk release (even though it's only 6 episodes in the series). Anime cry

Any thoughts or anything to add?

They better not pull any crap if they get it. I'd like to have the original background music and OP/ED themes in Japanese. And they had better get the original cast back, or some very good sound-alikes. I swear, if Tenchi speaks, and Goku's voice comes out, heads will roll.

They could decide to charge MORE then they do! Like 20$ for manga and 30$ for anime! Shocked

Pioneer decides to release a new Tenchi series that runs for over 300 episodes, and the only bit of plot are the first and last episodes. Now THAT's scary. Shocked

All the anime companies combine to become one large conglomerate that brainwashes the anime fanbase to take over the government and monopolize the entire sales industry and then eventually take over the world where everyone becomes working drones.

BIG BROTHER!

Wow! You guys are great. I should start putting jokes more often (although I was serious about # 1 & 2). I think the best were from CorneredAngel, SkullKnight, and Louie-kun. Idefinitly agree with Swordfish_II and Carol's post was even scarier than mine ('cept for the FUNi one... hey I made a pun) Mr. Green

Tempest, Cookie, Nagisa, Emerje (some of my favorite peoples Mr. Green ) : your thoughts, jokes, etc.

And you know I'd watch it all at least once.

I'm not obsessive. I'm passionate. Wink

But, in all honesty, the worst thing that can happen to the industry right now is if one of FUNimation's next batch of 100+ episode shonen series falls flat on its face. Let's face it, the three Dragonball series have brought a wave of fans and profit into the whole anime industry. If we lose that bankable portion of the industry's income, things are going to get very rough, very quick.

That would certainly be a day when hell froze over. From a company that released all of Fruits Basket on only 4 discs, I deem that highly improbable. But then again, if they did make hell freeze over, maybe the Colorado Rockies will start winning games again!!

You know what could happen? ADV would eventually take over the world, ruling their minions through hordes of panty shows and conveniently priced DVDs and merchandising, raising an army of fanboys that would storm through the world, leaving only devastation and BO in their path. All the fangirls employed by their military would have Gay Lasers, that would zap every cute guy they deemed "glompable" and make him have sick doujinshi-esque sex with his best friend. The world would forever be ruined. And the industry.

How about, one day George W. Bush decides that Anime promotes Anti-American pro-Japanease values, that it is amoral and dangerous for people of all ages, and that people who watch it become terrorists? (You never know with someone like Bush Confused )

Don't forget that this was just a joke (or an exaduration of what Bush or other conservatives can actually say about things like violent videogames etc...).
