According to the command lists, sounds like he is gonna be either easy and hard character to learn.
Since he has No circle quarters and Dps. And still dont get how they buffed him so fast.

Ed reminds me of Narcis Prince, an evil version of him anyway. Looks like he'll be interesting to try out.

Depends on how his moveset works. I suspect he's going to take quite a bit of button hold switching/sliding and other button management stuff to make full use of him, which isn't going to be easy for pad players like me lol (unless you've got a six-button face pad). Or he could be really easy.
And the story behind Ed is that he's an experimental body designed to age rapidly until he reaches fighting maturity. Which is why he's far older than he was in story mode.
