That's really sad. She was a really promising talent. I hope it's not life-threatening. Though, I guess it technically ruined her current life.

Also, Pretty sure Princess Principal confirmed her name was spelled Ange in the show itself but also on the official site (http://www.pripri-anime.jp/assets/img/character/whole/ange_spy.png). I wonder who will replace her for the 6 movies.

...is it just me or are we seeing more and more of these articles? Umehara Yuichiro, Amamiya Sora and I recall seeing one or two others already this year and now Imamura Ayaka.

I pray for all of these talented people. Crying or Very sad

It's a big industry with a lot of people, seeing a few have ill health does not sound uncommon.

Oh man I really like her role of Ange, now it's gonna be her last role consider she still voices her in the game. Unless it was pre-recorded.

It's nice to see that Princess Principal will still get recognition but won't be the same without her. Wish her luck in later career.

Not really, they just went on HIATUS due to health issues. Meanwhile she's retiring permanently, which is considerably sadder.

Amamiya got healthy in a week or two because her condition was temporary, and she only had to cancel one public event. Ume-chan's situation is more serious so he is taking more time... But yeah, Imamu, I just hope her health eventually get better. It is really surreal reading about the news only after seeing her at a con 3 months ago. I guess her condition was already a thing then and it has gotten worse over time, which lead to this decision.

That is really unfortunate. I love her voice as Ange in Princess Principal.

Her condition must be bad for her to make the choice to retire. I truly wish her a speedy recovery.

It must be really serious, considering her age.

Pretty much my thoughts. Ange may be the only character I recognize her from, but she’s still one of the main characters in a recent series that I really enjoy. If there has to be a replacement seiyuu then I’ll accept just about anyone; just stay in good health Imamura-san Sad

Truly a shame, I really enjoyed Imamura's performance. She had so much potential. I really wish her the best and hopes her illness isn't one that cuts life short.
