The anime will stream on Bandai Channel, d Anime Store, Flat Douga, Hulu U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai.

Wow, so early to announce this, who knows if the services are around 2 years from now

Still, more Tiger & Bunny is welcome news. Though not a huge fan of the franchise, I did like both the series and movies and have always been entertained by them.

We've removed that sentence from the article. It appears that the mention of streaming services on the official website refers to the original TV series rather than the upcoming series.

That's a nice surprise. I enjoyed the series quite. Not the deepest thing, but it was a ton of fun to watch. Surprise it took this long, considering the show was pretty popular.

I loved the Tiger & Bunny series and film, but I do feel that a 2nd series feels at least 5 years too late (or more when it eventually airs), given that My Hero Academia seems to have filled its place of looking at a world where people start developing superpowers. There were enough dangling threads left at the end of the TV show/film though, so I will be interested to see what comes of it.

I'm sure it'll end up being better than Double Decker, which was hyped as being its spiritual successor but ended up as a damp squib.

The series seems to have enjoyed a very strong following in Japan after all these years (thanks fujoshi!), so it always seemed like a sequel was a matter of time - but admittedly the longer it got, the more I started to wonder if they'd bother.

I am curious if we ever hear exactly why it took so long, but I can't help but think people over at Bandai assumed it was done, and then double checked how well that steady stream of merchandise over the years was doing...

It's too late! The hype train has moved on...

I still love it though. I wonder if this means renewed interest in a live-action movie, or if that idea is thoroughly dead.

It's been a year since they announced this and now it's going to be around another two before it actually airs. They sure like taking their sweet time with this franchise.

I really loved the original television series and the two movies. So why do I have such a bad feeling about this?
