I really need to check these guys out at some point. Allison & Lillia was a lot of fun if you didn't think about some of the plot holes too hard, and Requiem from the Darkness is a creepy classic.

I love Allison and Lillia to death but...
Oh god it’s retro now!? Time goes by too fast... |

Won’t lie, this only disappoints me because I was hoping those Saint Seiya movies would get dubbed and stream on Netflix. I really liked the new dub to the point I watched all 114 episodes in it so I would have preferred to watch those movies with it. Still good to see them watchable legally, just wish I could watch them in the version I’m used to

Allison and Lillia was the 2nd subtitled anime I ever saw (at 14.. so 13 years ago).
It wasn't the best but boi oh boi do I have intense nostalgia for it, it was ridiculously wholesome. |

You should. I checked out their site a while back, watched the Appleseed OVA that aired on SyFy back in the day to make up for my just leaving it on in the background as "watching" it way back when. The player, at least for that video, was on the low-quality side (read: 480p), but there's such a nostalgic charm to it that I didn't really mind all that much. |

Last I checked, Retrocrush is actively working to get the issue resolved, and the videos will be put back up after that's done and over with. |

I started watching Allison and Lillia a while ago but never finished it. I liked what I saw of it, but it didn't give me that feeling of wanting to binge the whole thing as soon as possible. Maybe I'll try it again at some point.

They got these movies from Discotek who has had the license since 2012, released the DVDs in 2013 and never had Overture. With that said, I'm surprised these films haven't expired yet considering they were confirmed flops on DVD along with Lost Canvas. |

NJ, the article itself states that RetroCrush announced that the Seiya movies, along with Fatal Fury and Allison & Lilia, are "exclusive licenses", so it seems like Discotek's license for them (& Sentai's for the last one) have expired. |

The exclusive is only for streaming, meaning it's not currently streaming anywhere else. The license isn't exclusive. |

As someone who absolutely adores Ringing Bell (and owns the DVD, too!), I'm so glad it's on a legal streaming platform so people can watch it for free!...and be traumatized forever.

Allison and Lilia appears to have been expired for a while. The Sentai DVD set has been out of print for a couple of years and even disappeared from their streaming sites quite a while ago. |
