Kind of ironic that ANN would write a thank you like this when they contributed so much to the early toxicity around the series start. Calling it the worst even.

I guess this is ANN's redemption arc. (ANN and a whole bunch of people lmao)

yeah really thank you!

been watching it since episode 1 and what a ride!

despite not being as popular as new WSJ properties, it always reminded me of old school shonen jump series, but fast paced. I really believe we will be getting a conclusion to this in a couple of years once the manga is near its end (after bleach sequel anime concludes most likely).

I know I will be anxiously waiting for it.

ANN is not a monolith. People who were annoyed about the character's voice in the preview guide didn't

1. Review the show weekly for almost four years.

2. Write this editorial.

To add to what Lynzee said, in what universe is, "doesn't like thing" synonymous with "toxicity"?

I know.

Im talking about the editorial where they give some manga the worst award btw.

That's the ironic part.

Calling it the worst manga -> then writing a thank you Black Clover editorial.

You speak as though the show ever got demonstrably better than its beginning, which it...didn't really. It remained Baby's First Shounen with a cast of one-note characters and an eminently-annoying protagonist. If it wasn't for Yami snarking at everyone and everything around him and the occasional animation explosion of an episode, it would have almost no redeeming factors.

Ah yes, the editorial also written by Rachel? That also doesn't exist written by anyone for that matter?
My guy the world is a lot less scary when you realize that people can have different opinions on media, and ANN is a place that actually recognizes and encourages that so you will get different takes from different people on it. So even if this mysterious Why Black Clover is the Worst Manga article existed it still wouldn't be ironic. The actual irony here is that sounds a lot like the kind of content you'd see out of youtube shoutmen who do not understand that ANN ain't a monolith.

Wouldn’t really call it a rivalry but the 2 have a decent friendship at the very least.

The one thing that caught my attention about Black Clover was that unlike most other shonen the rival character is the first one to recognize the MC's capabilities from the start and sees him as someone who could very well become Wizard King before him if he's not careful.

And all the OPs are bangers.

My favorite episode is 119 of course.

I think you mean this: http://4NN.cx/.104673

Which, funny enough, still isn't ANN. It's a write up of a panel from SDCC.

Now,that "Black Clover" is about to fly off into the sunset,I wonder something. Which of Asta's potential girlfriends will end up with him? It'll be interesting to learn that,at least.

I thought that was obvious: once he finally accepts that Sister Lily won't marry him, he'll end up with Yami. Both are equally oblivious to the appeal of women, after all.

(Seriously, I'd be shocked if there isn't already doujinshi out there shipping Asta and Yami.)

I'm not sure this tale deserves this kind of praise. It at it's best was okay, but when it stalled it really was hard to watch (i.e. boring). Just my 2 cents here. But I confess I haven't caught up with the last arc yet - but even if it's amazing I dont think its gonna make me feel sad to see it go. My guess is Black Clover is an acquired taste, and there are far more older shonen series that provide that feeling of coming to the end of a journey.
