-Nickelodeon: Yeah, looks like it could be a fun nostalgia trip

-SRW:....Holy crap

-Judgment: Would be right up Johnny's alley. Makes me wonder what they'll do for the gameplay; maybe a successor series is in order

-Persona: I fully see Persona 6; it would be nice to get some ports of 1-3 and maybe P4 Golden.

I'll be curious to see what they have to announce for Persona.

The thing with Judgment isn't all that surprising with how tightly some talent agency want to control things. It's sad though since Yakuza and the things surrounding it seem to be picking up interest and Sega has been getting more interested in bringing games to PC. I can't exactly blame Sega for considering ending the Judgment series if it isn't going to be able to publish where it wants, but I'm hoping maybe it's more of an attempt to play hardball with Johnny since they'd be looking at one of their talents losing a role over the possibility of some mods that nobody but them is going to care about.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw SRW30 on Steam yesterday, and available for the US. Good times, good times. I've never played a game in the series before, so I may finally give it a go.

Since I live in Asia, I've already been playing the more recent SRW games. But yeah, seeing the delight of Twitter friends on the western hemisphere for SRW 30 was definitely something.

The auto-battle system they're gonna introduce in this game has me somewhat skeptical, since the recent games feel lacking in challenge. But at least we can still get a treat from the story and battle animations.

Just one slight correction. There was a brief time where you could buy Super Robot Wars in North America without any importing (or at least in the US).

Super Robot Wars Original Generations 1 and 2 for the GBA (using Taisen instead of Wars) was sold here, probably because it required no licensing of other anime franchises.

I want to say there was also a game on DS that wasn't a traditional SRW game that we got localized as well, but that was it for releases as far as I can remember. Could be misremembering.

Nick: The fact that Powdered Toast Man (among others) was shown is a really good sign that the lineup will feature a very large variety of characters and not just the headliners you'd normally expect. That's always great to see in these kinds of mashups.

SRW 30: Amazing to see a western release of a main line game. I hope this does well =)

I believe Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier is the game you're thinking of. Personally I loved it. Really sad that we never got the sequel (Exceed) released here Crying or Very sad

Usually the big concern about PC ports is piracy, but i don't think Johnnys is completely in the wrong with their concern. I remember there was some legal action involving an actress who was upset when she found out her character model was used in a nude scene in a video game that she apparently didn't know. And then there's the whole SFM community. I don't know how many people are chomping for Kimura's model specifically, but I imagine this will be a bigger concern in the future as that stuff becomes more mainstream and widespread like how deepfakes are starting to be.

That was actually Beyond two souls. but the problem actually had nothing to do with mods.
Elliot Page (then ellen) Trusted David cage and quantic dream (HUGE MISTAKE) to have a model of his previously female body go into a shower....And for it NOT TO BE A FULLY DETAILED NAKED MODEL...and on the playstation 3 the player not to be able to PUT THE CAMERA INSIDE THE SHOWER.

Given that all through out the next game David Cage made there was RAMPANT SEXUAL ASSUALT AND HERASMENT...You can guess just how much David Cage was responsible for giving porn of Elliot page to the hundreds of thousands of people who could do this, I would also like to point out that SONY tried to control the images/video once they got out there but it's the internet. And I couldn't even find an apology from DC or QD for basically releasing porn of Elliot to the world without his consent.

I know that people can mod console games to some extent and honestly...... If lost judgment is the end because of PC modding being a thing...There absolutely will be a spite mod made of takumi naked being made. Rule number 1 of the internet Don't tell the internet it's not allowed something.

At the very least it's not cyberpunk2077 where characters can have sex, and is relatively easily modable so you basically have instant Keanu Reaves sex scene mod.

I can't believe Atlus did a Persona thing that actually acknowledged the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable.

They have been for a while. It was getting hard to ignore her given she's one of the more popular characters in the franchise. She's always ranks high on popularity polls.

Super frustrating to think that Judgement might bite the dust over such a scummy talent agency. I assume Kimura isn’t in a position to break his contract with them either and broker some kind of alternative agreement with SEGA with a different agency.

Johnny's is particularly infamous for it; they almost literally wrote the book on overbearing, pathologically controlling agency and had a monopoly on boy bands for decades.
