It is unfortunate that this gem was forgotten, resulting in only two episodes without a scheduled return date.

Let alone the Blu-ray, the last few episodes might even take longer than Märchen Mädchen and similar cases for all we know. Those times when the delay of the last two episodes of GuP was considered exceptionally long seem so distant now.

There's only three words I can use to sum up this perfectly: What a mess.

The execution of this has been a dumpster fire.

I like this show and while the delay is unfortunate, I do not feel disheartened. I can wait for the final 2 episodes.

Also, even with the ridiculous doom and gloom in this thread Whisper Me a Love Song has a good size following according to MAL numbers.

I betcha Ichijinsha or whoever is in the production committee will not use the animation studios again whenever they decide what the next Yuri Hime title gets the anime adaptation treatment. Then again, they're probably left with who's available since a lot of the "good" ones are busy with other projects or lacking connections with. And not to mention there's the state of the anime industry where other anime delays has happened before due to various issues.

I guess that's one way to be optimistic about especially when we're in a state where some shows can be instantly forgotten once the new season arrives.

Well, that sucks. But given what the anime adaptation went through, it was an unsurprising decision. Just let it end already.

This is hilarious. The broadcast was moved by a season from winter 2024 to spring 2024. And then they were unable to complete the production of the final two episodes in time for regular broadcasting. And they still aren't done right now, because if they were, there would be some release in the upcomming weeks. Or at least the Blu-rays wouldn't have been moved, because the reason for that is probably that they aren't done with cleaning up some of the errors from the broadcast and bringing it up to quality before they are released. So let's hope that they are at least able to publish the two final episodes before the end of the year, everything else would just be even sadder at this point...

Though admittedly, it's hard to get even worse at this point. The quality has been terrible since the beginning, people refused to be credited for positions (or those positions weren't filled, which would be even worse) and it's just been overall totally whack. Characters are looking different in every scene and the whole show is just the manga chapters colored and with some tilts and pans. Nothing about this is adding on to the source material. And even worse: The designs were taken straight from the manga, way to complex for animation. It's probably one of the worst productions I have ever seen. And the fact that I dislike the story doesn't help, the whole battle of the bands which has taken more than half of the published manga (as of writing this) is just a bunch of misunderstandings and miscommunications. I wish I could, but so far I have always failed at understanding what people like in this series...
