I have watched the awards show on both days and I think the organizers did all in all a solid work despite some technical issues.

The performances of the artists were superb and I think I found some new artists to listen to. The best performance was given by Eikichi Yazawa. Wow, a really great show he and his back-up band put on stage.

As for the categories. I missed some categories like best Metal song/Artist, best doujin music and album categories per genre (except for Jazz and Classic which were awarded).
Another thing to criticize would be that one artist can receive multiple nominations in one category like Best Japanese R&B song were Utada Hikaru was nominated twice and Kaze Fujii four times. I guess, they could have worked on a better solution. The majority nominees in five of six main categories were Japanese despite being said that international artists would be able for nomination as well (some nominees were from South Korea).

When "Show" by Ado was withdrawn in the Anime Song category due to not meeting nomination criteria there was no new fifth candidate considered for a nomination. I think some nominations were done randomly, at least that's what I thought when nominations were announced.

But overall, the show was good to watch (if I would not had to update the Wikipedia article for the 2025's installment of the awards show).

Last words: Congratulations to all the artists who have won an award yesterday and today.

Considering what happened with the "Columbus" music video less than year ago, I am utterly baffled at the popularity of and forgiveness the Japanese public have given Mrs. Green Apple.

I read about it in English-languaged Wikipedia but what exactly happened? Regardless of this, Japanese music artists did some controversial things in the past. I can remember that Keyakizaka46 shot a music video wearing nazi outfits in 2016 which sparked international controversy, The Rampage of Exil Tribe also shot a music video for their song "Soldier Love" wearing nazi-like uniforms, showing nazi-like salutes on television while the song's lyrics were criticized due to the imperialistic history of Japan.

Then, a thing I recognized myself was that the logo of a Japanese fictional group SSGirls from anime series "Sasayaku" featured "SS" in a style that looked very close to the insignia of Nazi Germanys "Schutzstaffel", a sign which is punished by law when showing in public. I reached out to the label regarding this issue but never got a reply.
