The fixed/re-broadcast episodes where not much of an improvement, in some scenes it was fixing some colours/lighting maybe repositioning a character.

The falling scene is still fresh in my mind and I can't forget these absolute masterpieces either.

I never expected much from Sudio Palette since they gave us KamiKatsu, at least the bad CG in there made the show way more enjoyable.

Don't entirely agree with everything said, but I'm at least glad the reviewer agreed with my opinion that Season 2 is definitely better than Season 1. (The only difference being that I have a much higher opinion of both than this reviewer seems to, lol.)

The animation actually never really bothered me much, and I only really think Episode 2 (original airing version) and Episode 12 actively looked "bad" animation-wise.
I do think people downplay just how much the shows visual's changed between the original airing version and the 2025 airing. Even putting aside the redrawn scenes, the compositing approach was changed, and some characters had totally different color keys. People who don't have any eye for it may not notice much difference, but it really stood out to me.

Anyway, I appreciate the staff for this show, even though they definitely seem to have had a rough time getting things done... Anime smile + sweatdrop
The fight scenes around the middle stretch were some proper spectacles, for what they were.

Episode 2 was one where I almost thought that it was on purpose. The cast wears disguises, even though they are just glasses, and I almost thought them going so off model was meant to show that the disguises were working. But, when everything else was that way off, it wasn't that.

I would watch a season 3 if we get it, but would be surprised if it happened. I doubt the production issues did it any favors there. Then again, I chalked up season 1 as a thing I liked that wouldn't see a season 2, and it happened years later.

The production issues made the action scenes look... meh. But overall, I just never had much interest in the intrigue/plotting/drama, as opposed to the much better Romeo/Juliet romcom that I thought was the show's strength.

I loved the political intrigue of the series but season 2 was awful in that it didn't resolve anything it set up nor did it do more than hint at some clues as to what was really going on, the roles of Salinger and Risya in particular.

I would have even preferred an anti-climatic ending quick wrap up over how the story stopped mid incident.

i for one hope to see a season 3 but with a different production committee.

just like with shield hero and the disaster that is the anime adaptations of promise neverland & ubel blatt, when a animation studio decides to have its anime leave out far too many context from the source materials to meet with its 12 - 13 ep quota, the anime adaptation as a whole collaspe under its own weight!

while i enjoy season one and two of kimisen and hope there is a season 3, the main reason why is that i have already read both the manga and light novels and know what was left cut out. as for people that are not familiar with the LNs, they will more or less some with the same conculsions as the reviewer of this anime!

I enjoyed the season, pre and post animation "revamp," even if I'm mostly in it for the Iska and Alice romance.

I wish they didn't end with so little resolved but I hope we get a continuation in anime form eventually...though I'll probably end up catching up on the light novels.

"characters have mismatched voices that sound way too mature given their ages and, in many cases, naïvety when they're not on the battlefield." - I feel like that's a problem with a lot of dubs.
