Between this and the recent blu-ray release of the OVA series, now is a hell of a time to be an English-speaking Black Jack fan!

Will these Black Jack editions have any of the "forbidden" chapters in them like earlier hardcover editions did?

I’ve never read Black Jack. I should finally rectify that.

Looking doubtful. I was originally quite excited, but this is more of a "Greatest Hits" release akin to Seven Seas' Lupin hardcovers. The first volume collects color chapters and the rest are selected stories.
I'd most prefer for Kodansha to just reprint the existing volumes, but it's something anyway. Hopefully we'll get a bit more information and a final cover before long.

I'm curious how these Full Color Character Selection stories will pan out. Hopefully, they'll be fun, more in-depth ruminations on the characters that add to them.
