I want to think of this as an indicator to a Nintendo Direct.

It's a good thing they shot that down ahead of time, people were hyping themselves up.

Thank God. The second I saw the rose in the thumbnail I uttered "Oh no..." Please be some original thing I can ignore. Don't Bloober Rule of Rose or Haunting Ground or any other PS2 horror classic.

Why? those games are too high priced for the normie gamer to even own anymore or is that why you don't want to lose your future investiment? I would welcome modern remasters/remakes if it means we can own and play em again in a reasonable price.

It's more of Slop Slop not wanting Bloober to be the one doing it.

The last people you want touching Rule of Rose is dudes reassuring everyone about their latest game Cronos having a female protagonist by saying "there's no feminist agenda here"

Calling either of these games classics is a bit of a stretch.

You know you can easily emulate those games, right? You aren't beholden to remasters and remakes to play old games especially when so many remasters and remakes are such inferior versions of said games.

I'd actually consider that a mark in their favor considering some of the elements companies would most likely remove in a modern Rule of Rose remaster/remake like we saw with games like Resident Evil and Fatal Frame where they had to omit costumes due to current cultural pressures. They might get rid of the maid and nurse outfits for being 'objectifying' and other stuff. Even Silent Hill f had to leave a gym outfit on the cutting room floor. It's also why fans are terrified of their inevitable Silent Hill 3 remake and how they'll handle Heather.

What may be easy to emulate for you isn’t going to be easy to emulate for others. Some might not even have the means to adequately emulate certain platforms.

This is a subjective thing not all remakes and remasters are worse than the original games with some being better than their orignal games. Whereas some of these original games are not as good in certain respects that some of their fans may swear by.

Some of which were not integral to the gameplay the actual thing that people play games for.

So like I said.

And yet some of these fans were apprehensive of the Silent Hill 2 remake which won some of those people over.
